I’m an active leader of the LJC (London JUG) and speak at events as well as organiser for the LJC Open Conference (Happening this Nov 23rd ;) ). I've actually… Continue

Responsive Web Design? What's that? - Exploring NODE.JS

It may not  adhere to the strict Java format of OJUG but was quite useful in learning more of the growing tools available to the web based developer.

Jackie Gleason answered this and unlocked other mysteries when he explained what NODE.JS was about.  Including a demo where he started a .js server, Jackie showed us how to set up an Express Project Layout worked starting with NPM and yielding to his own  "Hello World" page.  He continued by showing us how document styled db could be…

Article: The Evolution of Agentic Harnesses: From Chains to Graph to Code

Agentic LLM systems have moved from linear prompt chains to graph-based workflows and, more recently, code-executing harnesses. Chains are simple but fragile, graphs add branching, retries, and validation, and code harnesses verify outputs through execution. PHP Patches Two Critical RCE Flaws That Were Already Under Attack

PHP released 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36, and 8.2.35 to fix two critical vulnerabilities allowing unauthenticated remote code execution. Amazon recorded an exploitation attempt four days before the patches shipped, and operators spent the day working out whether they ran PHP, where to get the package, and how to tell it had landed.

Google and Meta open-sourced TorchTPU, a native PyTorch backend for Google's TPUs, at PyTorch Conference North America 2026, and Meta said it plans to move larger LLM workloads onto TPUs with it.
