About Atley:
I’m Atley and I have what you might call a little tech problem. I am a geek, scratch that I am an ENORMOUS GEEK. I am the guy in your neighbourhood that makes all the streetlights dim when he turns on all of his computers. I’ve been a geek since I can remember and I expect, anyday now, to be the subject of an intervention.
I have been a developer for over 15 years. Right now, I work for Altus Group as a Technical Lead. We make a couple of large ASP.NET applications and, while I love my work, but when I am not there, I am a huge phone geek. I tend to be an early adopter of all sorts of technology and always go over the top, much to the dismay of my family and my bank account! I’m a huge gadget freak and always have tons of tech within reach, most of the time quite literally! I keep at least two fully functioning domains going in my house as well as several different platforms and lots of gadgets.
Aside from being a terminal geek, I am an avid adventurer. Snowboarding, rappelling, bungie jumping, skydiving, base jumping, mountain/rock/structure climbing… if it is hard, I want to see if I can do it.
In order to tear me away from the technologies that I surround myself with, something has to be pretty exciting, unique or challenging. That is why I am a bit of an extreme sports enthusiast. I love any kind of challenge, the more difficult the better.
I love learning and often forsake everything else to bury myself in a new technology. I also love to share information, so always feel free to ask me a question, I’m always happy to help!
Codetown is a social network. It's got blogs, forums, groups, personal pages and more! You might think of Codetown as a funky camper van with lots of compartments for your stuff and a great multimedia system, too! Best of all, Codetown has room for all of your friends.

Available in the Armv9-A architecture, Arm Scalable Matrix Extension 2 (SME2) is a set of advanced CPU instructions designed to accelerate matrix heavy computation. The new Arm technology aims to help mobile developers to run advanced AI models directly on CPU with improved performance and efficiency, without requiring any changes to their apps.
By Sergio De SimoneThe Guardian has recently released Secure Messaging, a highly secure and user-friendly tool designed to protect journalistic sources by concealing the very fact that messaging is occurring. The open source project achieves strong plausible deniability by generating bait traffic through the routine activity of existing users of The Guardian's mobile app.
By Renato LosioMicrosoft has unveiled the Azure DevOps Model Context Provider (MCP) Server in public preview, enabling seamless interaction between GitHub Copilot and Azure DevOps. This innovative tool allows developers to query and manage project data using natural language directly within VS Code, streamlining workflows and enhancing productivity while ensuring project data remains secure and local.
By Mark SilvesterNetflix has developed a platform called Title Launch Observability, which shifts observability from system health to product intent. Instead of relying solely on logs and metrics, the system validates launches against what users should see, catching content quality issues early. The platform helps detect issues such as missing artwork, incorrect recommendations, or localization gaps.
By Leela KumiliDocker Inc. released Docker Desktop 4.42 on June 10, 2025, enhancing networking flexibility, AI workflow integration, and model distribution. Native IPv6 support now enables users to choose between dual-stack, IPv4-only, or IPv6-only modes with intelligent DNS resolution.
