 rder to give a talk about developing for Windows 8.\nAbout Atley: I’
 m Atley and I have what you might call a little tech problem. I am a g
 eek, scratch that I am an ENORMOUS GEEK. I am the guy in your neighbou
 rhood that makes all the streetlights dim when he turns on all of his 
 computers. I’ve been a geek since I can remember and I expect, anyda
 y now, to be the subject of an intervention. I have been a developer f
 or over 15 years. Right now, I work for Altus Group as a Technical Lea
 d. We make a couple of large ASP.NET applications and, while I love my
  work, but when I am not there, I am a huge phone geek. I tend to be a
 n early adopter of all sorts of technology and always go over the top,
  much to the dismay of my family and my bank account! I’m a huge gad
 get freak and always have tons of tech within reach, most of the time 
 quite literally! I keep at least two fully functioning domains going i
 n my house as well as several different platforms and lots of gadgets.
  Aside from being a terminal geek, I am an avid adventurer. Snowboardi
 ng, rappelling, bungie jumping, skydiving, base jumping, mountain/rock
 /structure climbing… if it is hard, I want to see if I can do it. In
  order to tear me away from the technologies that I surround myself wi
 th, something has to be pretty exciting, unique or challenging. That i
 s why I am a bit of an extreme sports enthusiast. I love any kind of c
 hallenge, the more difficult the better. I love learning and often for
 sake everything else to bury myself in a new technology. I also love t
 o share information, so always feel free to ask me a question, I’m a
