Codetown ::: a software developer's community
(image from http://twitter.com/JavaUsers") Greetings Orlando JUG:
Thursday is the Feb OJUG meeting. We'll be sponsored by Paul Peters of Signature Consultants, so bring your CV's if you're looking for work
or req'ts if your looking for developers. Doors open at 6. It's
imperative that you RSVP here.
if you intend to come. The room only seats 20 and last month was
standing room only. I'll also send ut an announcement from CodeTown,
but I know some of you have filters at the office that prevent Ning
messages. So, this is it! Come hungry, bring a friend and enjoy.
Clojure is an interesting, terse, expressive language. I trust you'll
enjoy Larry's talk.
I'll be at the Mindview Flex Jam starting Wed. I'll be
developing a website using Flex for musician Barry Sides The deal is come to Crested Butte, work
through the new, self published "First Steps in Flex", by Bruce Eckel
and James Ward, and bring a project if you wish.
I'll have
the help of arguably the two best developers I know to produce this
website. I'll also engage the design prowess of one Erika Greco for graphics and rock steady HTML and CSS. So,
stay tuned for that.
Next week, I'll attend the Java Posse Roundup with Dick Wall, Joe Nuxoll, Carl Quinn, and Tor Norbye. There will be skiing, so cross
your fingers that I make it out alive. Photos from last year here.
Also, you can browse my photostream and see more JPR shots I didn't
tag.
I'll be blogging at CodeTown and MikeLevin dot net Twittering at http://www.twitter.com/mikelevin
If you haven't signed up at CodeTown, I encourage you to do and please send invites to your friends. There's a lot going on there, so please
drop your guard and post some content. It takes people to make a
community.
On March 9th, I'll present "Web2.0 and You, updated" at the Jax Linux Show. My company will have a booth there. So, plan on driving up if
you can.
