Coincidently, I was reading an article about "Startup Weekend" when I received the email from Mike about demo city.

http://startupweekend.org/

I would think Orlando would be a great venue for hosting a "Startup Weekend".  Seems like a great matchup for Orlando Jug/Codetown to host something like Startup Weekend, bringing together the "ideas" people with the developers needed to make it happen.

Would anyone else be interested in participating ?

Hey, Tom - thanks for the heads up! I bet a good way to judge interest level in an event like this would be to do some P/R at the upcoming Barcamp. We're interested in high tech startups, mainly and there will be a great turnout at Barcamp to get feedback. /Mike PS - thinking about it! I think it's a great idea.
I would be interested in a startup weekend

I would definitely participate, most likely as a developer.

As a side note, we don't need VCs or Media Partners to organize a hackathon. A project and a room full of eager programmers are more than sufficient.
I would be interested in Startup CIty in Orlando.  We have plenty of dev resources and few startups or startup mentallity.  How do we help?

Why We Should Care about Accessible Websites and How to Do It

Web accessibility ensures content is usable by people with disabilities. According to Joanna Falkowska it can give a competitive edge, improve SEO, and support basic human rights. She emphasizes using WCAG standard and making accessibility a shared team responsibility from the start of development, to prevent costly fixes later in the process.
