Yes, we are having a meeting! I am in town and the kind folks accommodated us at DeVry, so BE THERE!
Loads of stuff to talk about, like this fine article by our compadre Matt Raible: http://www.infoq.com/articles/javaone2013-roundup
Bring a dish, something to drink and yourself...or, just yourself...or yourself and a friend(s)! This will be fun because we have been very remiss about meeting lately. Every time we do this it works out well and we have more than enough to eat.
People at Oracle have moved around - and former Sun people have moved around. I'll fill you in on all of it.
JavaOne 2013 is history...and there's that to discuss.
I am getting lots of email from recruiters about openings at companies (Disney, for one) on all of our 10 year plans...or, mine at least.
I could go on, but then we'll have less to say, so mark your calendars and RSVP so we all have something to look forward to.
And, please post some stuff on Codetown, invite your friends and stir it up.
See ya.

Codetown is a social network. It's got blogs, forums, groups, personal pages and more! You might think of Codetown as a funky camper van with lots of compartments for your stuff and a great multimedia system, too! Best of all, Codetown has room for all of your friends.
