Enterprise Connect '17 - It's a wrap!

Enterprise Connect provides the comprehensive analysis and in-depth sessions you need, covering Unified Communications, Mobility, SIP Trunking, Cloud, Video, Collaboration, WebRTC and more.

I had the pleasure of attending Enterprise Connect '17. #EC17 is a conference about communication: telephony, video, chat, and all forms of conferencing. It's been around many years. The expo hall had big familiar players like Microsoft, Oracle, and Cisco. There were also big players you'd know if you're in the communications market like 8 by 8.

There was a good bit of talk about API's but not a lot of dissecting code.  Unified Comms as a Service (UCaaS) was a  big focus.

Here are some of the topics:

  • Cloud Computing
  • Internet of Things
  • Bots and Artificial Intelligence
  • Messaging and Team Collaboration

The sense you'll get at EC is that unified communications in the cloud is the way to go. Most vendors have versatile API's that make it easy to wire them all together.

Stay tuned - more to come!
