Hello, GatorJUG!
I hope all of you had a great holiday and new year season.
I'm planning our meeting for next Wednesday right now, so stay tuned for that! Second Wed - that's the thing to remember when you think of GatorJUG. Please spread the word so we have the best year ever. The more people come, the better our flow of information is. And, if you want to volunteer, just let me or Dan know and we'll get you or a friend going with a project you'll enjoy.
We have so much to look forward to this year. Lots to report. Sarasota JUG (AKA SunJUG) is now known as Sarasota Software Engineers. Here's the announcement:
Hi All,
Towards the end of 2014 a growing interest in software topics extending outside the realm of Java was expressed. To better facilitate this, as of January 2015, the SunJUG group is now known as the "Sarasota Software Engineers User Group" and we will focus on a variety of topics related to software engineering, not just Java.
The meetup site has a new URL (http://www.meetup.com/SarasotaSoftwareEngineers) and the older SunJUG one (http://www.meetup.com/SunJUG) should re-direct for legacy purposes.
The mailing list email has changed to SarasotaSoftwareEngineers-list@meetup.com. The twitter username has been changed to srqsoftwareeng - please follow if you utilize twitter!
As always, please let me know if you have something you would like to present and looking forward to another great year!

The OSCON call for papers is on, and you have a chance to participate in what's possibly the best Open Source conference of the year. http://www.oscon.com/open-source-2015/public/cfp/360
Gregg Pollock, founder of the Orlando Ruby User Group, publishes a monthly events calendar you may enjoy having a subscription to.
