Codetown ::: a software developer's community
This might be interesting to the community. The state/community colleges in Central FL are working with UCF to create a BAS in Software Development - a UCF Regional Campuses degree.
We all know that Computer Science is not the same as Software Development, so we're addressing it.
ETA - soft rollout this fall 2011, with the first "Software Dev I" class offered Jan 2012.
The core language of the program is Java.
There is a Facebook discussion group that anyone can join and discuss what it will look like:

... or I'd be glad to discuss it here as well.
