Presentations at the two-day Multicore Developers Conference will provide a thorough approach to designing and programming embedded multicore solutions. The Multicore DevCon will consist of executive and technical tracks covering various aspects of applying multicore technologies. Areas of coverage include, but are not limited to:
Multicore and multiprocessing technologies have become synonymous with the embedded industry – with the majority of high-performance applications containing one or more multicore devices. Throughout the past decade, many silicon manufacturers, tool vendors, and operating system/middleware suppliers have created many products to support the development and integration of multicore devices. But nothing in this industry stands still, and devices (and the applications that contain them) become more capable and complex, requiring newer tools and more creative support mechanisms. The MULTICORE DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE is geared to help system and chip designers understand and tackle the challenges of multicore implementations by bringing together the industry’s top experts in this rapidly growing field.

Ian Hoffman discusses Slack's architectural evolution from workspace-centric to Unified Grid. He explains scaling challenges & Enterprise Grid complexities, and shares lessons learned during this significant architectural shift, drawing insightful parallels to the history of astronomy and emphasizing the importance of questioning foundational assumptions in software development.
By Ian HoffmanIn this podcast, Shane Hastie, Lead Editor for Culture & Methods, spoke with Trisha Gee about the challenges and importance of addressing flaky tests, their impact on developer productivity and morale, best practices for testing, and broader concepts of measuring and improving developer productivity.
By Trisha GeeStefania Chaplin and Azhir Mahmood explain how to navigate the complexities of AI in highly regulated industries. They discuss MLOps pipelines, data security, evolving legislation (GDPR, EU AI Act), and the critical frameworks for responsible, secure, and explainable AI. Learn practical prevention techniques, XAI methods, and future trends in AI for cybersecurity and beyond.
By Stefania Chaplin, Azhir MahmoodSoftware development is much different today than it was at the beginning of the Space Shuttle era because of the tools that we have. But the art and practice of software engineering has not progressed that much since the early days of software development. Compilers are much better and faster, and debuggers are now integrated into development tools, making the task of error detection easier.
By Ben LindersIn an engaging talk at QCon London 2025, Louis Ryan, CTO of Solo.io and co-creator of Istio, addressed the complexities of hybrid cloud-native networking. He emphasized intentional assembly of network components, critical evaluation of tools, and treating networking as a primary focus to ensure reliability, observability, and security in today's intricate enterprise environments.
