Hello all,
First off, it's that time again--the third Tuesday of the month. That makes tonight a CopyNight! We'll be at the Racquet Club this time for a change of scenery and food selection. So come on out to the Racquet Club at 7:00 PM tonight for some fun discussion of what's happening in the Free Culture world. We'll try to get an e-mail out later today with some interesting things we could talk about.
Also, we have an official date for this Fall's Free Your PC: 10/28-10/30, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Reitz Colonnade. Setup will start at 9:35 AM. Signups for volunteer shifts will be on the wiki later this week, so make sure you sign up if you'd like to help spread the word about Free Culture and introduce students to some Creative Commons music and Open Source software. We always have a good turnout for FYPC, so any and all helping hands would be greatly appreciated.
Finally, I'd just like to thank everyone who came out for the Mind Mashup earlier this month and everyone who helped us spread the word about it. It was a huge success, and we'd love to have more events like it in the future. We had a great turnout and several awesome open source demos. Hopefully next time we'll have more actual mashups happening, but I think the event turned out very well for a first-time project.
That's it for today! I hope to see lots of people at CopyNight tonight. :)
Best,
Jennifer Griffith-Delgado

LinkedIn extended its generative AI application platform to support multi-agent systems by repurposing its existing messaging infrastructure as an orchestration layer. This allowed the company to scale AI agents without building new coordination technology from scratch and achieve global availability while supporting complex multi-step workflows through agent coordination.

The dataset spans 475 million documents in 1,733 languages, totaling roughly 3 trillion tokens. At 3.65 terabytes in size, FinePDFs introduces a new dimension to open training datasets by tapping into a resource long considered too complex and expensive to process.
