Apple's One Big, Annual developer event. Meeting the Apple engineers who built the system components you use and networking with other developers from around the world is among the hugest benefits of attending. Choose from sessions on iPhone dev, Mac dev, IT support on any Apple product and more. This is at the Moscone Center the week following JavaOne, so book one flight and one hotel room. The attendance ticket does cost quite bit, but there is usually food at each meal (continental breakfast, full lunch, pizza or snacks at dinner.)
In 2008, they sold out the tickets before the conference, so register early.
Codetown is a social network. It's got blogs, forums, groups, personal pages and more! You might think of Codetown as a funky camper van with lots of compartments for your stuff and a great multimedia system, too! Best of all, Codetown has room for all of your friends.
