Oh, man! I have roots in geographical information systems from my work in the oil patch in Texas. I was a cartographer with Shell! And, I have a Palm GPS attachment. I loved the software that was developed for the Palm. I can't wait to get a iPhone with real GPS. And, I am working with sensors, planning to integrate GPS - I may make a anti-theft device for bikes. We'll have a lot to talk about here. I hope you join the iPhone dev group and the sensor group. Maybe you will be interested in starting your own group about GPS and mapping. Mashups, Google Maps, Google Earth, ... be still my heart! I am such a geek - these are my favorite things. Geo caching, ... my first gig as a freelancer was with a startup in Texas that sold a onboard, realtime navigation processing workstation for offshore seismic acquisition. How about that?
