DESCRIPTION:Announcing the 6th Annual Codeslinger Shootout! \nOn 11/16
 /11 you are invited to test your fast thinking and\nprogramming skills
  at the GatorLUG programming tournament. You could win the\ncoveted ti
 tle of \"Fastest Codeslinger of 2011\", a cool mug proclaiming your v
 ictory, and Amazon gift cards.\n\nWe'll also have t-shirts for the fir
 st 20 people to register.\n\nMain Street Softworks has generously offe
 red to sponsor the tournament again this year.\n\n1st prize - A $300 
 gift card from Amazon.com\n\n2nd prize - A $150 gift card from Amazon.
 com\n\n3rd prize - A $50 gift card from Amazon.com\n\n\n\nWe have Amaz
 on gift cards for prizes and the t-shirt looks great. You can registe
 r up to the day of the tournament but it helps us out if you do it so
 oner rather than later. \nWe'll meet in Stuzin Hall room 102 on the UF
  campus. Stuzin Hall, near the corner of University Ave & 13th St. He
 re is a link to the campus map\nhttp://campusmap.ufl.edu/. Search for 
 Stuzin and the map will indicate exactly where to find it. Lots of UF
  employees will have left campus at 6pm but parking is still a challe
 nge in this area. So, plan for that and come early.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\
 n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRules \n1. Enter the contest by emailing your name, pro
 gramming language of choice and\nt-shirt size (S,M,L,XL) to clinton@co
 llins-family.org on or before November 7, 2011. You are not limited t
 o using this language during the contest but you do need to be regist
 ered to participate. You can register up to the day before the tourna
 ment but we can't guarantee a shirt for you if you wait that long.\n2
 . Bring your laptop (or borrow one from a friend) to the meeting.\n3. 
 You may use any programming/scripting language/environment you want.\n
 4. You may not use search engines to look for example code to copy and
  paste\nduring the event.\n5. You will start up your laptop and progra
 mming environment.\n6. Your hands will come off the laptop and stay of
 f until the start signal is given.\n7. If you touch the computer befo
 re the start signal you will be disqualified.\n8. A general problem wi
 th a single correct answer will be presented.\n9. You may solve the pr
 oblem with an algorithm or a simulation.\n10. There will be a question
  and answer period.\n11. After the question and answer period, the sta
 rt signal will be given.\n12. The first person to show their source co
 de and correct answer output to one\nof the contest judges wins.\n13. 
 A judge will look at the code and output to verify the winner.\n14. Th
 e decision of the judge will be final, no whining allowed.\n15. Hats, 
 boots and leather are optional but good for style points.\n\n\nFor mor
