Codetown ::: a software developer's community
Hello GatorJUG! We have a special guest on the 8th: Chris Schaefer of the Sarasota JUG is driving up to tell us about his experiences organizing the group. Chris is a consultant with Pivotal, so it's an opportunity to meet someone with world class software consulting experience. Chris recently took the step to rename the group Sarasota Software Engineers, which is an interesting move. http://www.meetup.com/SarasotaSoftwareEngineers/ formerly www.sunjug.org
Let's mark our calendars and give Chris a warm welcome from Gainesville. Stay tuned for meeting place. I am trying to arrange our next meeting at the Innovation Hub!
Here's the announcement: http://www.codetown.us/events/gatorjug-april-1
I'm having a hard time getting people to join the GatorJUG group here on Codetown so I can discard the old email mailing list. Suggestions? What do you all think about the organization of Codetown?
All the best,
Michael Levin

Codetown is a social network. It's got blogs, forums, groups, personal pages and more! You might think of Codetown as a funky camper van with lots of compartments for your stuff and a great multimedia system, too! Best of all, Codetown has room for all of your friends.

To build large-scale safety-critical systems, we need to decompose the system into smaller solvable problems, resolve what is known, and resolve unknowns through experiments, Robin Yeman argued. She suggested investing in test environments for both software and hardware early to enable being test-driven early to increase the safety, security, reliability, and availability of the systems.
