Codetown ::: a software developer's community
Bebo has such an interesting story. It started about the same time as Facebook, became super popular, got sold to AOL and then to C Capital Partners. Now, the owners have bought it back and are reviving it.
Here's an article about Bebo from '06 that reads like like something prehistoric (dinosaurs, I mean):
http://www.theguardian.com/media/2006/jun/18/digitalmedia.observerr...
Meanwhile, it's an opportunity to see a website transformed now. The article talks a little about racks of computers and terabytes of storage. Some architecture info. Now, 10 years later, things have changed so much.
Let's watch and take notes... and see where Bebo goes. Go to www.bebo.com to get some tiny additional detail.
