Codetown ::: a software developer's community
A co-worker is working with a group that is using technology devices(iPads) to help better connect some “at-risk” kids with the world of opportunities. The group includes folks from the Chamber, FloridaWorks, Alachua County Schools, SF College, and the private sector. Thier goal is to keep the students connected enough to stay in school and work towards a tech career. As a part of the program, they want to help the students better understand the importance of collaboration. Do you have any (ideally, on-line) games/exercises we could use to help them combine the use of technology with the opportunity to learn about “working together”?
So, can anyone think of any suggestions of iPhone or iPad apps for them?
They will have 30 to 40 kids involved. I am thinking a nice group game would be a good place to start. That is enough to break them up into teams.
